Day 14 - Cycle 60 km along the coast to Mabou

I think we set a new record for CCCTS. We decided to have an easy day and not load the van until 9 am. The main reason to leave later was so that we could arrive at Judique around 11 am and take in the Celtic fiddlers at the Celtic Music Interpretive Center.

As it turned out we still arrived early. We were greeted warmly at the centre and even though we were an hour early they put on a pot of coffee and enticed us with their apple crisp, cinnamon rolls and blueberry grunt.

We discovered that the folks taking our orders were the entertainers. Mike Hall, the fiddle player, was a great guide to the Celtic music and culture. He encouraged questions and led us through how the music has been passed on and preserved.

We carried on to Mabou to stay at the River Inn. The staff at the Inn was most welcoming, having fresh coffee and scones waiting for us.

We went for dinner at the Rankin Family's Red Shoe Pub. Had a great dinner.
