Entering the Fortress of Louisbourg we were required to give the secret password which none of us knew. The guard took pity on us and let us pass.

The first thing that strikes you as you enter this fortified town, is the attention and detail applied in restoring it to how it was in 1744.

All the exhibits had staff dressed to the period.

Here we were shown the country dance of the time to the music of a harpsichord.

Guards and drummers marching out to demonstrate the firing of muskets.

We finished our day with our farewell dinner back at our motel.
